The cake comes right out of these aluminum pans. We used to have the heavy ones made out of tin, but they rusted if you put them in the dishwasher and then you had rust spots on your cake. Next we had the dark teflon coated pans and the cake would still stick! People would scrape the edge of the pan with a knife and scrape the teflon off and on to the cake. The aluminum pans may be lighter weight but it does the trick every time and you will get the cake out perfectly.
